Terms of Service — ABC PDF Tools

These Terms govern your use of the ABC PDF Tools Android application ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

1. The service

ABC PDF Tools is a utility app that lets you merge, split, watermark, number pages, password-protect, scan, and convert PDFs and images on your Android device. All processing happens locally; the app does not run on a server we control.

The app is offered with two tiers:

• Free tier: core features with usage limits and advertising.
• Premium tier: unlocked features and ad-free experience, available as a monthly, annual, or one-time (lifetime) purchase through Google Play Billing.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly permits it.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its components.
• Use the app to process content you do not have the right to process.
• Use the app to create derivative ad networks, scrape ads, or interfere with the in-app monetization.

4. Your content

The app operates on PDFs and images that you select with the system picker. You retain all rights to your content. We do not claim any ownership over it. Because processing is local, we never have access to your files.

You are solely responsible for the legality of the content you process. Do not use the app for material that infringes copyright or violates applicable law.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

5.1 Plans

• Monthly Premium: USD 2.95 / month (auto-renewing).
• Quarterly Premium: USD 7.95 / 3 months (auto-renewing).
• Semiannual Premium: USD 13.95 / 6 months (auto-renewing).
• Annual Premium: USD 23.95 / year (auto-renewing). New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial that is offered once per Google Play account and applies to the annual plan.

Prices are listed in USD and may be adjusted by Google Play to your local currency. Local taxes may apply.

5.2 Billing and renewal

• Subscriptions are billed through your Google Play account.
• They renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• You can cancel any time from Google Play → Account → Subscriptions.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep Premium until then.

5.3 Free trial

Cancelling before the 7-day trial ends prevents any charge. After day 7, the annual plan begins automatically at the listed price.

5.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play under their published refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. If Google Play issues a refund, your Premium access is revoked immediately.

5.5 Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or change devices, use Settings → Restore purchases to recover your Premium status. Restoration depends on signing into the same Google account that made the original purchase.

5.6 Price changes

Subscription prices may change. Google will notify you ahead of any change and require explicit consent before charging the new price. You can cancel without charge during the notice period.

6. Free-tier limits

To support the free tier with advertising, the following limits apply (subject to change with reasonable notice in release notes):

• Up to 3 input files per merge.
• Maximum input file size of 50 MB.
• History capped at 10 entries.
• Advertising surfaces (banners, native, interstitials, optional rewarded ads) appear during normal use.

Premium subscribers are not subject to these limits and do not see ads.

7. Advertising

The free tier shows ads served by Google AdMob. You may receive a consent dialog the first time you launch the app in regions that require one (EU, UK, Switzerland, and other applicable jurisdictions). You can change your ad personalization choice at any time from the app's Settings or your device's system settings.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for unlawful purposes.
• Process content that contains malware or illegal material.
• Attempt to bypass Premium gates, ad displays, or purchase verification.
• Use automated tools to interact with the app or its ads.

We may suspend the app's services, deny refunds, or take other measures permitted by law if we detect violations of these Terms.

9. Updates

The app receives periodic updates through Google Play. Some updates may add features, change limits, fix bugs, or modify the user interface. Where required, we will obtain your consent for material changes that affect data or pricing.

10. Third-party services

The app integrates third-party SDKs (Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat, Google ML Kit). Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy notices, which you should review:

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will always produce a correct or complete output for every input.

Always keep a backup of important documents before processing them.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or related to your use of the app is limited to the greater of:

• The amount you paid us for the app (or for the relevant Premium subscription) during the 12 months preceding the claim; or
• USD 50.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of (i) your violation of these Terms, (ii) your misuse of the app, or (iii) content you process with the app that infringes a third party's rights or violates applicable law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the app or any feature with reasonable notice through release notes. Sections 4, 11, 12, 13, and 15 survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising from these Terms or the app shall be brought before the ordinary courts of the City of Córdoba, Argentina, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules grant you the right to bring an action before the courts of your domicile.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect new features, regulatory changes, or pricing adjustments. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current revision. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
