How to rotate or flip an image
- Choose, drop or paste (Ctrl+V) your image.
- Rotate it left or right, or flip it horizontally or vertically.
- If you like, turn on Black and white.
- Click Save image and download it.
What is it for?
Many photos and screenshots show up sideways because the device stored the orientation differently. With this tool you straighten them and save them already rotated, so they look right in any program.
Mirror flipping helps fix selfies or reversed text, and black and white is good for photocopies, documents or a style in your photo. Everything is done on your device, with nothing uploaded.
Limits to keep in mind
- Images over 16 megapixels are scaled down slightly so the browser can process them.
- Animated GIFs are saved as a still image (first frame only).
- If you choose JPG, transparent areas are filled with white.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The image is edited in your browser and never leaves your device.
How do I rotate a photo that appears sideways?
Load your photo and click Rotate right (or Rotate left) until it looks upright. Then click Save image and download it: the new file has the corrected orientation.
What's the difference between rotating and flipping?
Rotating turns the image 90° to one side. Flipping mirrors it, left to right or top to bottom.
Does it lose quality?
Rotating in multiples of 90° doesn't change the pixels. Only compression matters if you save as JPG or WebP; with PNG nothing is lost.
Can I combine several actions?
Yes. You can rotate, flip and turn it black and white, and the final result is what gets saved.
Can I rotate a photo from my phone?
Yes. Open the page, pick the photo from your gallery and use the buttons.
