How to sign a PDF
- Choose or drop your PDF.
- Draw your signature, type it or upload an image, then click "Use this signature".
- Drag it to the right spot and adjust the size. You can switch pages with the arrows.
- Choose whether it goes on this page, on all pages or on the last one, and click Sign and save.
What is it for?
Rental agreements, forms, authorizations and quotes are often required signed. Instead of printing, signing by hand and scanning, you sign the PDF right from your phone or computer.
The signature is an image stamped on your device: neither the PDF nor your signature is uploaded to a server. Save it as a PNG image if you want to reuse it in other documents.
Limits to keep in mind
- It's a visual signature (an image). It isn't a certificate-based digital signature, which some procedures require.
- Password-protected PDFs can't be opened; remove the password first.
- After saving, the signature can't be moved or deleted; if you make a mistake, sign the original again.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF or my signature uploaded to a server?
No. The signature is drawn and stamped in your browser. Neither the PDF nor the signature leaves your device.
How do I sign a PDF without printing it?
Load your PDF, draw your signature with your finger or mouse (or type it, or upload an image of it), drag it to the right spot and click Sign and save to download the signed PDF.
Is it legally valid?
It depends on the case. For many private documents a scanned or drawn signature is enough, but some agencies require a certificate-based digital signature. Check before you sign.
Can I sign with a photo of my signature?
Yes. Sign on white paper, take a well-lit photo and upload it; with "Remove white background" only the ink is left.
Can I sign several pages?
Yes. Under "Apply to" choose "All pages" to stamp the same signature, in the same spot, across the whole document.
Can I sign from my phone?
Yes. You draw with your finger and move the signature over the page by touching and dragging.
