How to calculate the days between two dates
- Pick the start and end dates, or use the shortcut buttons (today, Christmas, New Year).
- If you like, choose to count the end date too, or to count business days only and add holidays.
- See the total days, the weeks, and the difference in years, months and days.
- To find out what date it will be after some time, switch to "Add or subtract time" and enter the years, months, weeks or days.
What it's for
Calculating days between dates is useful for contract and paperwork deadlines, due dates, counting the days of a pregnancy or a trip, the time left before an exam or an event, and the countdown to a special date. From October 25 to December 31, 2026 there are 67 days.
By default the end date is not counted: from Monday to Tuesday there is 1 day. If you need to include it (for example, to count the days of a stay), check "Also count the end date". Business days leave out Saturdays and Sundays, and you can exclude any holidays you add.
When adding months, if the day doesn't exist in the target month the last day of that month is used: January 31 plus one month gives February 28 or 29. Dates follow the Gregorian calendar, and nothing is saved or sent.
Things to keep in mind
- Holidays are not loaded automatically because they change by country and year: add them yourself.
- Hours and time zones are not considered: calendar days are counted.
- The supported date range is from year 1 to year 9999.
