How to convert an image
- Choose or drop your images.
- Pick the output format: JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Adjust the quality if you want.
- Tap Convert and download each image or all in a ZIP.
What is this tool for?
Different formats suit different needs. JPG is the most compatible and lightest for photos, PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, and WebP gives very small files for websites. Converting lets you use an image where its original format is not accepted.
Everything happens on your device, so your images are never uploaded. The result has no metadata such as GPS location.
Limits to keep in mind
- PNG with transparency converted to JPG gets a white background, because JPG has no transparency.
- Converting never recovers quality that was already lost; PNG from a JPG will be larger but not sharper.
- Very large images (over 16 megapixels) are reduced automatically. Animated images keep only the first frame.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens in your browser, on your device.
How do I convert an image from PNG to JPG or WebP?
Drop your image, choose the Output format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and click Convert. You can convert several at once and use Download all (ZIP).
Which formats can I convert?
You can open JPG, PNG, WebP and most images your browser reads (GIF, BMP, AVIF), and save as JPG, PNG or WebP.
Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos and maximum compatibility, PNG for graphics, screenshots or transparency, WebP for the smallest size on websites.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like and download them one by one or in a ZIP.
Why is my PNG file bigger than the JPG?
PNG does not discard information, so photos take much more space. That is normal.
