How to split a PDF
- Choose or drop your PDF.
- Pick what to do: extract pages, one file per page, or every N pages.
- For extracting, type the pages, like 1-3, 5, 8-10.
- Tap Split PDF and download the result.
What is this tool for?
Splitting a PDF lets you keep only the pages you need: one invoice from a long statement, a single chapter, the signed page of a contract, or the pages you want to send by email. You can also separate every page into its own file.
It all happens on your device, so contracts, IDs and private documents are never uploaded. When the result is several files you get a single ZIP.
Limits to keep in mind
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened; remove the password first.
- Very large PDFs depend on your device memory; on old phones, split them in parts.
- Page order follows what you type, so 5, 1-2 gives page 5 first. Pages can repeat.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is split in your browser, on your device. Your file is not sent anywhere.
How do I separate the pages of a PDF?
Load your PDF and choose how to split it: Extract pages (for example 1-3, 5), One file per page (ZIP) or Split every N pages (ZIP). Then you download the new files.
How do I extract only some pages?
Choose Extract pages and type them separated by commas, using hyphens for ranges, like 1-3, 5, 8-10. Use 7- to mean page 7 to the end.
Can I split every page into a separate file?
Yes. Choose One file per page and you get a ZIP with one PDF per page, named in order.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without recompressing text or images.
Can I split a PDF with a password?
Not directly. Remove the password first with a program that knows it, then split the file here.
