What is this tool for?
Sorting a list alphabetically helps to organize names, bibliographies, keywords, glossaries or any set of items. Numbers inside the lines are ordered naturally, so item 2 comes before item 10.
It is handy for lists of names, emails, keywords or product codes, and for fixing paragraphs that came out cut into short lines. Everything runs in your browser and your text is never uploaded.
Limits to keep in mind
- Duplicates are lines that are exactly equal, so “Apple” and “apple” count as different.
- Sorting treats numbers naturally (2 before 10) and follows the rules of the page language.
Frequently asked questions
How do I sort a list alphabetically?
Paste your list with one item per line and press Sort A → Z, or Sort Z → A for the reverse order. Then copy the result.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. It is processed in your browser, on your device, and is not stored.
Does Remove duplicate lines keep the order?
Yes. It keeps the first time each line appears and removes the repeats, without changing the order.
Can I undo?
Yes. Undo goes back step by step if you chain several actions.
