The formula and examples
To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, multiply by 9, divide by 5 and add 32: °F = °C × 9 ÷ 5 + 32. So 0 °C is 32 °F, 20 °C is 68 °F, 37 °C (body temperature) is 98.6 °F and 100 °C (boiling water) is 212 °F.
A mental shortcut to estimate: double the Celsius degrees and add 30. 20 °C gives 70 °F, very close to the real 68. Fahrenheit is used in the United States and a few other countries, which is why recipes and forecasts from there mention it.
