How to convert an image
- Choose or drop your JPG images.
- The output format is already PNG; change it if you need another.
- Tap Convert.
- Download each image or all of them in a ZIP.
What is this tool for?
Some programs and designs ask for PNG, for example to edit without losing more quality or to keep sharp edges. Converting JPG to PNG produces a lossless file, though bigger.
Everything runs on your device, so your images are never uploaded.
Limits to keep in mind
- PNG with transparency converted to JPG gets a white background, because JPG has no transparency.
- Converting never recovers quality that was already lost; PNG from a JPG will be larger but not sharper.
- Very large images (over 16 megapixels) are reduced automatically. Animated images keep only the first frame.
