How to take the click speed test
- Choose the test duration: 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds.
- Click the box: the timer starts with that first click.
- Keep clicking as fast as you can until time runs out.
- See how many clicks per second (CPS) you got. Your best score for each duration is saved.
What is CPS
CPS stands for clicks per second. It's calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the seconds of the test. Gamers widely use it to compare their clicking speed.
For most people, the average is between 5 and 7 CPS. With techniques like jitter clicking (vibrating the arm) or butterfly clicking (using two fingers), some players go above 10 or 12 CPS, although in longer tests the pace drops because of fatigue.
The 1 and 5 second tests measure top speed; the 30 and 60 second ones measure endurance.
Things to keep in mind
- Some mice and browsers limit very fast clicks; the result also depends on your equipment.
- Repeated clicking for a long time can tire your hand: take a break if you feel any discomfort.
- Your best score is saved only in this browser; if you clear the site data, it's lost.
