How to use the wheel of names
- Type or paste the names or options into the box, one per line. The wheel builds itself.
- Tap "Spin the wheel" and wait for it to stop: the name under the arrow is the winner.
- To keep drawing without repeats, turn on "Remove the winner from the list".
- Check the winners history below and use "Shuffle names" to change the order.
What a wheel of names is for
It's ideal for drawing prizes among followers, picking who answers in class, assigning chores, deciding where to eat or breaking a tie without arguing. You can use it with names, numbers, places or any option.
The result is decided at random with the browser's cryptographic generator before the wheel starts spinning: the animation just shows the result, so every name has exactly the same probability.
The list is saved only on this device so you don't have to type it again. Nothing is sent to any server.
Things to keep in mind
- Up to 200 names are used. With more than 40 the wheel doesn't show the text inside each slice, but it still draws and announces the winner.
- If you type the same name twice, it has double the chance: handy for giving someone more chances.
- For draws with important prizes or legal requirements, keep a screenshot or recording as proof: this page doesn't issue certificates.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel really random?

Up to 200. Type one per line or paste a list from a spreadsheet.
How do I run a draw without repeating winners?
Turn on "Remove the winner from the list": after each spin the name leaves the wheel.
Are the names I type saved?

Is it free?
