How to make random teams
- Type or paste the names into the box, one per line.
- Choose whether you want to set the number of teams or how many people each one should have, and enter the number.
- Tap "Make teams": people are split at random and evenly.
- If you're not happy with it, tap again for another split, or copy the result to send it.
What a team generator is for
It avoids arguments when making teams for a soccer match, a tournament among friends, a school activity, a workshop or a party game.
The split is even: if it can't be divided exactly, the difference between teams is just one person. The order is shuffled with the browser's cryptographic random generator.
The list is saved only on your device so you don't have to type it again. Nothing is sent to any server.
Things to keep in mind
- The split is completely random: it doesn't balance by level or skill. To balance it, first make groups by level and split each one separately.
- There must be at least two people and two teams.
- Teams aren't saved: copy the result before closing the page.
