How to add days to a date
- Choose “Add or subtract time” if it is not already selected.
- Leave today’s date or pick another starting date.
- Choose Add or Subtract and type the days, weeks, months or years.
- See the resulting date and how long until it or since it from today.
What it is for, with examples
It is useful for working out due dates, delivery deadlines, the end of a warranty or an estimated due date for a baby. For example, 30 days after January 15 is February 14.
Months are added by calendar: 1 month after January 31 lands on the last day of February, not on a date that does not exist.
Good to know
- Calendar days are counted, not business days. For business days, use the other option of the calculator.
- Valid dates range from year 1 to year 9999.
- The calculation does not depend on your time zone.
