How to play Color Runner
- Tap «Play»: the runner moves forward on its own and gets faster and faster.
- Tap the screen (or press the space bar, or «Jump») to jump the dark spikes on the floor.
- When a colored gate comes, pick the same color with the buttons below (or the 1, 2 and 3 keys): that's the only way through. Each color also has a shape: circle, square and triangle.
- Collect stars for extra points. The run ends when you crash, and your best score is saved on this device.
An endless runner game
Color Runner is an endless running game, the kind you learn in seconds and find hard to put down: there are no levels and no end, you just try to get farther than last time. Your score goes up with the distance you run and with every star you collect.
There are two kinds of obstacles. Spikes are jumped; colored gates let through only the runner with the same color, so you have to switch in time. Obstacles are always spaced far enough apart to get past them, and the speed increases gradually up to a maximum. The background changes from day to night as you run.
Everything works in your browser, on your phone too, and nothing is sent to any server: your best score is stored only on this device.
