How to use the LED banner
- Type your message in the text field.
- Choose the text and background colors (or a ready-made combination), the speed, the size and which way it moves.
- Tap «Start banner»: the text goes full screen. Turn your phone sideways to make it bigger.
- Tap the screen to pause, change the speed or close. You can also close it with the Esc key.
What the LED banner is for
The LED banner turns your phone screen into a glowing sign with scrolling text. It's great for showing a message from a distance: welcoming someone at an airport, finding a friend in a crowd, showing a passenger's name, cheering at a game or a concert, or making a party or promotion sign.
You get the best result with bright letters on a dark background, screen brightness at maximum and the phone held sideways. The dot effect imitates real LED signs. The screen stays on while the banner is open, in browsers that allow it.
Everything runs in your browser: the message is not sent to any server and is only saved on this device so you don't have to type it again.
Things to keep in mind
- On some phones (especially iPhone) true full screen is not available: the banner still fills the whole browser window.
- If the phone locks or you switch apps, the banner pauses. In browsers that allow it, the screen stays on while it's open.
- A short message looks best; if it's very long, make the letters smaller or increase the speed.
